Privacy policy
Last updated: 9 October 2026
This policy explains what information this website collects about you, why, and what you can ask us to do with it. We have kept it as short and plain as we can.
Who we are
This website is run by Greens Yoga & Pilates, a yoga and Pilates instructor based in Wakefield, with classes at GameFace, 4 Russell Street, Wakefield WF1 4QS. You can email us at james@tarkawebdesign.com. Our current contact details are always on our contact page.
What we collect and why
When you send us a message
If you use the contact form, we collect your name, your email address, your phone number if you give it, and your message. The message is stored on the website and emailed to us, so that we can read it and reply to you. We keep it until we delete it.
When you book a class
If you book a class online, we collect your name, your email address, your phone number if you give it, any note you add, and the class, date and number of places you booked. We use this to hold your place, to send you a confirmation and to contact you about your booking. Bookings are stored on the website, and we keep them until we delete them.
When you buy a class pass
If you buy a class pass or a single class from our online shop, we collect your name, your email address and the details of your order, so that we can confirm it and keep a record of what you have paid for. Card payments are taken by Stripe, a payment provider: your card details go straight to Stripe and never pass through or stay on this website. Stripe handles them under its own privacy policy. We keep order records for as long as we need them for our accounts.
Who looks after the website
The website is hosted for us in the United Kingdom by British Web Design, who process the information above on our behalf and deliver the website's email. They do not use it for anything else.
Cookies
The website sets two cookies that every visitor needs: a session cookie, which keeps the website working as you move from page to page (and remembers your basket if you buy a pass), and a security cookie, which protects the forms from being misused. Neither is used to track you.
The website's own visitor counts are cookieless: they tell us how many people visit and which pages they read, without setting anything on your device.
If we switch on Google Analytics or advertising tags in future, a banner will ask for your permission first, and nothing will be set until you accept. Your answer is remembered in your browser, and you can change your mind at any time.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law (the UK GDPR) you can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it or delete it, and object to how we use it. To do any of these, email us at the address above. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Changes to this policy
We may change this policy from time to time, for example if the website starts doing something new. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
